London Launch

April 27, 2015 at the Royal Society of Medicine, London

During this inaugural launch, we will present the case for global surgery to a large audience of current and future leaders in the global surgery and health policy fields, as well as members of the press and public. We have planned for presentations and discussions during the day to follow the format of the Commission report, which is divided into the areas of health care delivery and management; workforce, training and education; economics and finance; and information management. For each  of these subjects we are planning to have a presentation by one of the commissioners followed by a panel discussion and questions from the floor.

On the day following the launch, The Royal Society of Medicine is hosting a follow up conference (global surgery, anesthesia, and obstetrics: shifting paradigms and challenging generations) where the discussion will focus on the high-income response to the Commission. This conference is in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons of England. For the draft program and registration, please click here.

Registration for both events is open to the public. We hope to see you there!
